| Description: |
In this practical invertase immobilized in alginate gel beads will be packed into a “packed-bed reactor” to enable a continuous “feed” of substrate (= sucrose) to be converted into products (= glucose and fructose). These reducing sugars will then be identified by their reaction with Benedicts reagent. |
